On Friday, February 1, Vermont’s air was frigid and still, and the sky was magnificent crystal blue. That afternoon, a large truck came rolling up Pema Osel’s driveway, ending the Maitreya statue’s three-and-a-half-month journey from Nepal.

February 4, 2013 - On January 3, as the Japanese year-end holidays drew to a close, members of the MSB Japan sangha gathered in Shizuoka Prefecture at our mountainside retreat center Tashi Chöling on the beautiful Izu Peninsula south of Mt. January 10, 2013 - MSB is helping to keep the homeless in Denver warm this winter. On the morning of December 20th, 2012, MSB Sangha members participated in the Denver Homeless Dana (giving) at the Holy Ghost Church in Downtown Denver. We distributed new warm hats, gloves, and socks, to over 200 homeless people in Denver.  We also gave several nice warm coats that had been donated by Sangha Members. December 13, 2012 - In November of 2012, Kongtrul Rinpoche travelled to Salvador, Brazil to teach the first year of the shedra program on The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, to direct a Sessions Retreat, to conduct the MSB Lineage Ceremony, and to bestow the Rigdzin Dupa empowerment to the Brazilian sangha. October 3, 2012 - On a moonlight evening last week, students and friends gathered at the house of Barry and Laura Weiss, in Boulder Colorado, for an exhibition of recent abstract expressionist paintings by Kongtrul Rinpoche.
