New York Mangalam Dharma Group (NYMDG)

The New York Mangalam Dharma Group is a small group of Mangala Shri Bhuti (MSB) sangha members and others interested in Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche’s teachings who:

Meet irregularly at one of our member’s homes for sitting practice and to listen to the MSB Link (For more information on the MSB Link, please visit http://www.link.mangalashribhuti.org/TheLINK)

Meet irregularly to study a Dharma text (we are not meeting at the moment, but please let me know if you are interested)

Meet occasionally to listen to one or a set of Rinpoche’s program talks either via live web stream or recording

Work together to host Rinpoche and other MSB teachers when they visit New York city and coordinate MSB programs located in New York City

In addition:

Many of us also travel to Pema Osel, the sangha’s Vermont center for talks and can often offer rides and/or help with accommodations.

Many of us are Study and Practice Representatives (SPRs) and as such are available to help orient you with the sangha’s traditions and events and provide basic meditation instructions in Four Immeasurables practice, the first practice for prospective and new students.

If you are interested in being added to the NYMDG mailing list, please email me at jls52@cornell.edu and provide me with your postal mailing address and phone number(s) indicating if the phone number(s) are home, office or mobile. And, if you ever want to be removed from the mailing list, I can take care of that as well. Just let me know.

Thank you for your interest in the NYMDG. If you have questions or I can help in any other way, please do ask.

Sincerely yours,

New York Mangalam Dharma Group

Jim Sawyer, Director
