During this retreat Elizabeth will guide us through a deep exploration of the Heart Sutra. The live retreat will be broadcast via Zoom. The program will be simulcast in English with Portuguese translation. The retreat provides participants an opportunity to experience the dharma through contemplation and creative expression.There will be two sessions each day. The first session will be a deep exploration of the Heart Sutra with Elizabeth. The second session will be with special guests on visual art, music, language and practice. Special guests include Dungse Jampal Norbu, Chime Mattis, Greg Seton, and a special session with Elizabeth about the art of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.Special guest sessions include:”Genesis of Expression” with Elizabeth will feature a video about Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and his work as an artist. Dungse Jampal Norbu will invite us into “The Art of Exposing the Self,” using pithy slogans of Lojong or Mind Training teachings. Composer and musician Chime Mattis will share his exploration of the topic of “Creative Inspiration” and his devotional musical compositions of the Heart Sutra. Translator Greg Seton and Elizabeth will take a deeper look at the Heart Sutra and engage in a conversation called, “Unlocking Words and Meaning.” RECORDINGSDuring the retreat, the Zoom recordings will be made available as soon as possible for registered participants.
