Special Live Talk by Pema Chödrön

Event Information

Mangala Shri Bhuti is honored to host Pema Chödrön on Thursday,  July 18, 2024, for her teaching that will take place during the Nyingma Summer Seminar. Ani Pema will speak on a topic from the Buddhist Mahayana teachings. Each year, Ani-la generously donates the funds raised from her talk to support the activities of Mangala Shri Bhuti, the sangha of her teacher Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.

What does this Fundraiser Talk Support?
Pema Chödrön generously donates the proceeds of her dharma talk at Nyingma Summer Seminar to offer significant support for the activities of Mangala Shri Bhuti. One of Pema’s main teachers is Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. She spends much of the year in retreat at Samten Ling, one of MSB’s three main centers.

Nyingma Summer Seminar
Pema Chödrön will be giving this talk in the context of Nyingma Summer Seminar, a week-long public program that also serves as an important annual gathering for MSB students. During this program, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, Dungse Jampal Norbu and Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel teach on the 3 Yanas of Buddhism. Ani Pema gives her talk in the morning on July 18. If you wish to stay for Kongtrul Rinpoche’s talk in the afternoon, you will need to register for the talk.

• AFTERNOON TALK: Register for the talk that will be given by Rinpoche.  
• LUNCH: You can purchase a lunch ahead of time or bring your own. Food is not available on-site unless pre-ordered.
• Please Note:If you are registered for NSS, separate registration is required for Pema Chödrön’s talk. This talk is not included.

• In- person meditation session starts at 8:30 am at Phuntsok Choling.

Recording of Pema Chödrön’s Special Talk
A recording of the live stream talk will be available post-event for one month only for both In Person and Live Stream registrants. The recording will be available for streaming starting Friday, July 19th.

Pema Chödrön’s talk will be given in-person from Phuntsok Choling, near Ward, CO.
