May bodhicitta, precious and sublime, arise where it has not yet come to be. Where it has arisen may it never fail, but grow and flourish more and more.

      Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche

Unbroken lineages of wisdom traditions are rare in these times, and Kongtrul Rinpoche descends from a pure lineage of the Dzogpa Chenpo Longchen Nyingtik tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

      About Mangala Shri Bhuti

MSB is a part of the Longchen Nyingtik and Khyen-Kong-Chok-Sum lineages. (Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye, and Terton Chokgyur Lingpa, collectively known as Khyen-Kong-Chok-Sum, were the heart of the Rimé, or nonsectarian, movement, which did so much to preserve and harmonize all schools of Tibetan Buddhism in the nineteenth century.)

"Meditative Wisdom is that which makes you try what you know and understand as true, so you can apply a wisdom to change, and react or not react, differently. To not go down that same old brain path, but to create a new brain path." – Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche

three things we can do to make progress link banner

Link Talk #577, Dzigar kongtrul Rinpoche

To make progress on the path begins with appreciation of our good fortune to come into contact with dharma, which leads to a deep sense of joy.  Then we build on that foundation through renunciation, unconditional devotion, and a mature practice of altruism.

Prayer Requests

We trust that petitioning the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas on behalf of those facing challenges, illness or death, brings them benefit. As well, it enriches our own practice of bodhicitta.
