Losar Address

We are delighted to stream Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche’s Losar Address this year from the Sangdo Palri Temple of Wisdom and Compassion in Crestone, CO. The tentative start time for the address is currently 11 a.m. Mountain Time.

Life and the Practice of Dharma (Online Retreat)

Hosted by the Boulder Shambhala Center. In this weekend online teaching, Rinpoche will explore how we can learn to aspire to have a meaningful and altruistic bodhisattva’s way of life while living in the midst of our tumultuous modern world.

Dukngal Rangdröl Drupcho, MSB Japan

MSB Japan is pleased to announce that Kongtrul Rinpoche will preside over a Dukngal Rangdröl Drupcho from May 5 to May 7, 2023. Owing to the pandemic, this will be the first drupcho we have been able to hold in Japan since 2019. Dukngal Rangdröl (“Natural Liberation of Suffering”) is an Avalokiteshvara sadhana from the Longchen Nyingtik tradition. This sadhana has been practiced only once before in Japan.

Balancing the Wind for Mental Health

Rinpoche returns to the the Shang Shung Institute of Tibetan Medicine to explore rlung, or Wind Element, and its connection with attachment and mental health from the perspective of Tibetan Buddhism.

MSB Brazil Shedra Way of the Bodhisattva

In the MSB Brazil Shedra, Rinpoche will teach on the 9th Chapter of the Bodhisattva's Way of Life, known as the wisdom chapter, where the view of the Middle Way is introduced. Streamed live from Brazil with translation into Portuguese.

Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and Dungse Jampal Norbu will lead an online retreat in which a full reading of Patrul Rinpoche’s nineteenth-century text, the Words of My Perfect Teacher, and a detailed commentary are given. The transmission for the Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro liturgy, a terma revealed by Jigme Lingpa, will also be bestowed.
